Chance The Rapper Portland Concert reviews
The Hon. Lewis Black, Sec. of Homeland Security?
The worst seats imaginable, beautiful space with needed rock climbing gear to get there, didn't stop us from enjoying the performance. True LB Devotee - memorized every performance and TiVo appearances on Daily Show at the Kennedy Center (hoping to one day see him, too infrequent these days but I guess if you are touring...). "Lew" mentioned close affiliation with opening act - too bad - definitely didn't feel "warmed up" but needed another drink after him. Chance The Rapper was engaging and light hearted until that discussion of abortion - which should definitely be "aborted" from the act. He promoted water but I needed a Scotch after that zzzz. Title of the tour "Let them Eat Cake" wasn't really referenced in any material and didn't really sum up the theme of the material - "Let them Smoke Grass" (or Eat the Brownies?) would work. Very funny and he definitely has my vote to be in charge of Homeland Security with his Terrorist Watchlist I-Phone App!!! So glad we went - want to tell all the funny stuff but don't want to be a spoiler for future venues. Great evening and looking forward to the next tour!
